Back in August of last year I was telling you that I purchased a Canon 60D because I decided I want to take up photography. Since then I’ve done a quite a few courses online, mostly on Lynda.com, watched a lot of YouTube videos and read a lot of articles. I feel that I barely scratched the surface, but that doesn’t mean that I feel discouraged, or that I don’t want to continue. In fact, I’m loving every minute of it.
However, I can’t help but wonder why I didn’t take up photography earlier.? I mean sure, I discovered when I was about 16 and I got a digital camera. Then I experimented with it several times along the way, but why wasn’t I more serious in this pursuit? It’s obviously something I enjoy a lot.
Perhaps I was a different person with different goals, or perhaps there was something inside me who feared that I might not produce any worthwhile photographs, so why even bother then?
So maybe this is me conquering that fear that was hidden inside and finally going for it?
Truth is that I don’t know yet, but I will really continue doing this for as long as I enjoy it, which at this moment seems like a long time.
And of course, I will rely on the old saying: “Better late than never.” 🙂
PS. Sometimes I feel that “Better late than never.” should be the caption which describes my life.
Here are a couple of shots that I like how they turned out:
